We are announcing the launch of Instagram\u2019s international and pan-African campaign \u2018Made by Africa, Loved by the World\u2019 in celebration of Africa Day on May 25. For the first time, this year\u2019s Instagram campaign celebrates women of impact by spotlighting four trailblazing women from the continent and the diaspora who have built a global presence through their exceptional talents and passions in sports, entertainment, and music.<\/span><\/p>\n Now in its fourth year, the campaign shines a spotlight on women from Nigeria, South Africa, Kenya, and for the first time, Egypt.\u00a0 Featuring Eniola Aluko, Bontle Modiselle, Victoria Kimani, and Tasneem Elaidy, these women share their inspiring stories in four beautiful short films highlighting their successes, challenges, and passions.\u00a0 Their stories are brought to life through collaborations with four rising African filmmakers: <\/span>Haya Khairat<\/span><\/a> from Egypt, <\/span>Michael Rodrigues<\/span><\/a> from South Africa, <\/span>Nyasha Kadandara<\/span><\/a> from Kenya, and London-based Nigerian, <\/span>Aaliyah McKay<\/span><\/a>. These films amplify the unique voices and stories of women who are changing the way Africa is viewed on the international stage.<\/span><\/p>\n Additionally, as part of the celebration, we are partnering with local African content creators to host the third edition of its community challenge, \u2018#ShareYourAfrica,\u2019 bringing together emerging and established content creators to create a movement and celebrate what it means to be African.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cFor the fourth year running, we\u2019re incredibly excited to shine a spotlight and celebrate just some of the amazing women from across the continent and beyond, who are having a remarkable impact globally. These are women who are contributing to positively shaping the female African narrative and inspiring change across football, music, entertainment and culture.
