We\u2019re thrilled to announce that <\/span>Meta for Education<\/span><\/a>, our mixed and virtual reality education offering, is now available<\/a> to the general public, giving educators access to the benefits of mixed and virtual reality with Meta Quest devices using Meta Horizon managed services.<\/span><\/p>\n Announced in April 2024<\/span><\/a>, Meta for Education is designed to give educators, trainers and administrators access to a range of education-specific apps and features that help students learn through immersive experiences they might not otherwise be able to access. <\/span><\/p>\n Mixed and virtual reality education has the potential to transform the way we learn and teach. Thanks to their immersive nature, virtual and mixed reality can give students hands-on, interactive experiences that wouldn\u2019t be possible otherwise. Whether exploring the molecular structure of a chemical compound or getting a front-row seat to epoch-defining historical events, headsets like <\/span>Meta Quest 3<\/span><\/a> and <\/span>3S<\/span><\/a> open up exciting new possibilities for a truly memorable lesson plan.<\/span><\/p>\n Across 83 <\/span>Inspired Education Group<\/span><\/a> schools already using immersive technology in the classroom, 90% of students reported increased engagement and interest in their lessons, along with a 25% boost in confidence in their knowledge. Additionally, 85% of teachers found virtual and mixed reality to be a valuable tool to enhance their teaching. Students also experienced a 15% improvement in their academic performance on multiple-choice assessments.<\/span><\/p>\n Built on the successful foundation of <\/span>our enterprise solution for work<\/span><\/a>, Meta for Education is now offering a Meta Quest headset and a subscription to Meta Horizon managed solutions for education. This bundle is designed to give students access to an immersive learning experience that keeps educators in control.<\/span><\/p>\n Serving as a platform for interactive and engaging third-party content that aims to make learning more enjoyable and effective, Meta for Education provides access to a range of subjects including science, history and language arts. We believe it represents a significant step forward in the use of immersive technology in education, with enormous potential to transform the way we learn and teach.<\/span><\/p>\n We partnered with over a dozen participating colleges and universities across the US and UK through our <\/span>beta program<\/span><\/a> \u2013 including Savannah College of Art & Design, Imperial College London, Morehouse College, University of Michigan and more \u2013 gathering valuable feedback to help improve our product.
