Hey Farid! Could you tell us a little bit about your role at DanAds?\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n
As CTO and Head of Architecture at DanAds, my role covers several key areas. I help set the direction for our technology and make sure it supports the company\u2019s overall goals.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n I oversee the development and execution of our tech roadmap and related technology projects, and I design our architecture to be scalable and secure \u2013 meeting today\u2019s requirements while anticipating future needs. Building and managing our engineering teams is also a core part of my job.<\/span><\/p>\n Additionally, I evaluate and help implement new technologies, work to identify and address technical risks, translate complex technical ideas for various stakeholders, and manage the technology budget.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n I also make sure to carve out some time for hands-on innovation myself\u2014whether that\u2019s coding or just playing around with new possibilities in the cloud. It helps me stay connected to the tech.<\/span><\/p>\n What did you do before you started this position?\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n I actually started my career as a developer before transitioning into architecture. Prior to joining DanAds, I gained broad experience progressing through various architect roles\u2014like Solution, Lead, and Enterprise Architect\u2014across diverse industries. This gave me the opportunity to tackle the kinds of complex projects and large-scale digital transformations that I really enjoy.<\/span><\/p>\n What inspired you to pursue a career in ad tech?<\/b> What\u2019s the best thing about being part of the DanAds team?<\/b> Being part of DanAds also allows me to channel both my entrepreneurial spirit and my deep technical interest. I thrive on the opportunity to dive into the \u2018nerdy\u2019 technical details while contributing to meaningful projects that have a real impact. It\u2019s this dynamic environment, where ambition meets technical passion, that makes being part of the team incredibly fulfilling.<\/span><\/p>\n Five quick questions with Farid:<\/b><\/p>\n
<\/span>Ad tech fascinates me because it sits at the crossroads of creativity, data, and technology. The idea of creating solutions that empower advertisers and publishers, while also simplifying processes for end-users, was what initially drew me in\u2014and it still drives my passion every day.<\/span><\/p>\n
<\/span>The vibrant mix of people, culture, and diversity at DanAds is truly exceptional. Collaborating with talented individuals from various backgrounds fosters an atmosphere of innovation and creativity, enabling us to tackle challenges with fresh ideas and unique perspectives.<\/span><\/p>\n\n
<\/span>I\u2019m from Stockholm, Sweden, but my roots trace back to Tunisia through my parents. I\u2019m deeply proud of this heritage and the strong connection I maintain to both places\u2014it\u2019s a blend that has greatly influenced who I am today.<\/span><\/li>\n
<\/span>I don\u2019t have a specific favorite music or artist\u2014my taste varies depending on my mood and what I\u2019m doing. Whether it\u2019s something upbeat to energize me or something calming to relax, I enjoy exploring different genres that match the moment.<\/span><\/li>\n
<\/span>I\u2019m a big fan of football\u2014whether it\u2019s watching, playing, or coaching, it\u2019s a sport that brings me joy and energy. I also love traveling, especially to Tunisia, which is my second home. And nothing beats spending quality time with my wife and my three boys; they truly help me unwind and feel grounded.<\/span><\/li>\n
<\/span>My favourite dessert? It has to be ice cream \u2013 specifically pistachio flavour!<\/span><\/li>\n
<\/span>I really enjoy travelling and experiencing new places. Lately, I\u2019ve been quite fascinated by Southeast Asia, so I think exploring somewhere in the Indonesia area would be my next big trip.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol><\/div>\n
