More than 3 billion people in over 180 countries use WhatsApp, and we\u2019re always working to keep our users closely connected, no matter where they are in the world. That\u2019s why we\u2019re excited to bring message translations to WhatsApp, so you can more easily communicate across languages.<\/span><\/p>\n Now, when you want to translate a WhatsApp message to another language, you can simply long-press the message and tap Translate. Choose the language you want the message to be translated from or to, and download it to be saved for future translations. This works for 1:1 chats, groups, and Channel updates too. <\/span> Message translations were designed to protect the privacy of your chats. That\u2019s why translations occur on your device where WhatsApp cannot see them.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n We\u2019re rolling out message translations to Android and iPhone users gradually from today, in a few select languages to start with more to follow. For Android users, translations will initially be available in six languages: English, Spanish, Hindi, Portuguese, Russian, and Arabic. For our iPhone users, the feature will launch in <\/span>19+ languages<\/span><\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n We hope this feature helps break down language barriers and allows users to connect more deeply.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
