That\u2019s the future we\u2019re building at Meta.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n In August, we <\/span>expanded access to translations<\/span><\/a> for bidirectional English and Spanish to creators on Facebook and Instagram, so that more creators can seamlessly translate their reels with Meta AI. <\/span>Today, we\u2019re excited to announce we\u2019re adding two more languages, Hindi and Portuguese,<\/b> making it easier than ever to watch reels from creators around the world \u2013 with more languages coming soon.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n Since our <\/span>announcement of translations with Meta AI in 2024<\/span><\/a>, we\u2019ve been working toward making content more accessible for everyone, and today\u2019s expansion marks another step toward our goal.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Many creators want to reach global audiences, and their feedback helped shape our work on translation features. With Meta AI, creators can now seamlessly translate and dub reels, breaking down language barriers so they can share their work with more viewers worldwide. With multi-lingual translations between English, Spanish, Portuguese, and Hindi, creators can now share their content across some of the largest Reels markets on both Instagram and Facebook.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Translating reels with Meta AI is free, and is accessible to Facebook creators with 1,000 followers or more and to all public Instagram accounts in countries where Meta AI is available<\/a>.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n Meta AI mimics the sound and tone of a creator\u2019s voice to translate reels, so the end result is content that feels authentically like the creator, just in another language. A creator can also choose to enable the lip syncing feature, which syncs the translated audio to the creator\u2019s mouth\u2019s movements, creating a more natural viewing experience.<\/span><\/p>\n Your experience matters to us, which is why we\u2019ve built controls that let you decide which languages you see. Every translated reel is clearly labeled with Translated with Meta AI, so you\u2019ll always know when you\u2019re watching translated content. You can also choose to turn translations on or off, or to watch reels in their original language \u2013 simply select Don\u2019t translate in the audio and language section of the three-dot settings menu.
