We are committed to making a positive impact and investing in the long-term vitality of the communities where we operate data centers. One way we do this is through our annual <\/span>Data Center Community Action Grants program<\/span><\/a>, which provides direct funding to schools, nonprofits, and community organizations that benefit local communities. Today, we\u2019re announcing the recipients of this year\u2019s grants.<\/span><\/p>\n The organizations receiving grants empower people to put technology to use for community benefit, build sustainable communities, and help improve local science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEAM) education. We are proud to support the <\/span>White House AI Youth Education Pledge<\/span><\/a>, and this year, many grants are directly aligned with this important initiative and focus on AI education and workforce development.<\/span><\/p>\n For example, the Louisiana 4-H Foundation, which engages young people with hands-on educational experiences to build character and leadership skills, is using drone technology and smart boards to increase virtual training access for students interested in agriculture and automated land management careers. The group is ensuring that the workforce in <\/span>Northeast Louisiana<\/span><\/a> remains competitive as the farming industry shifts toward a more data-driven future.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cThrough 4\u2011H leadership opportunities, STEM exploration, healthy living education, and life\u2011skill development, youth are gaining the confidence and tools they need to grow and lead in their communities. This investment will bridge technology gaps, strengthen wellness knowledge, and prepare the next generation of innovators and agricultural leaders,\u201d said Louisiana State University AgCenter Parish Chair Brittney Newsome.<\/span><\/p>\n The Perrysburg Schools Foundation in Ohio will train educators and students in practical AI skills. This initiative uplifts the broader Wood County academic community, establishing a core group of AI-trained teachers who will mentor peers across the district. The project aims to empower more than 4,000 students in the <\/span>Bowling Green, Ohio<\/span><\/a> area to graduate with digital fluency and responsible AI knowledge.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cThis investment will strengthen AI literacy across Perrysburg Schools by equipping our teachers with the knowledge and tools to integrate emerging technologies safely, ethically, and effectively into the classroom. By building staff capacity now, we are ensuring our students are prepared to thrive in a future where artificial intelligence plays an increasingly important role in learning, work, and daily life,\u201d said Perrysburg Schools Superintendent Dr. Kadee Anstadt.<\/span><\/p>\n The nonprofit Healthier Texas is revolutionizing local healthcare in Bell County. Harnessing an AI-powered health coaching app, the organization is delivering personalized, preventive support to residents who need it most. With bilingual health tracking tools, the app also ensures that residents in our <\/span>Temple<\/span><\/a> data center community and surrounding rural areas have equitable access to tools that drive long-term wellness.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cThis investment will expand access to preventive care, nutrition guidance, and digital health tools for families who face barriers to traditional care, helping reduce chronic disease risk and close life-expectancy gaps across our rural communities,\u201d Healthier Texas CEO Jamie Williams said. \u201dTogether, we are building a model that ensures every household, regardless of income, language, or location, can access personalized support for healthier living.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Isothermal Community College in North Carolina, is launching a centralized Autonomous Technology and AI Hub to prepare students for the high-tech demands of the agriculture, manufacturing, and aerospace sectors. The facility provides people in Rutherford County with hands-on experience in computer vision and autonomous navigation. By giving local students access to GPU-accelerated workstations, the project transforms our <\/span>Forest City<\/span><\/a> data center community into a regional hub for the next generation of engineers and machine-learning specialists.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cMeta\u2019s grant funding will help Rutherford County Schools students, in partnership with Isothermal Community College, establish an AI Hub where students can access powerful computers and hands-on robotics technology right on campus,\u201d said Rutherford Early College High School Principal Jeremiah McCluney. \u201cThis support will expand opportunities for rural students and better prepare them for high demand careers in technology and advanced manufacturing.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n These are just a few of the countless ways our program is turning possibility into progress, ensuring our data center communities continue to flourish and lead the way for generations to come. The Data Center Community Action Grants program is now available in 27 data center regions \u2014 spanning 24 US cities and three international locations. This year, <\/span>seven new data center communities<\/span><\/a> are being offered grants for the first time.<\/span><\/p>\n To date, we have supported 3,700 projects globally through more than $94 million allocated in direct funding to our data center communities.
